Jungle Design is now in the process of moving our retail store from 61 Kent Ave to a soon-to-be-determined new Brooklyn locale! We have been concerned for a little that our eventual relocation would be inexorable, but had hoped to be able to negotiate a stay in our current space through the end of 2016. However, our exit date as of this writing is being moved up to the middle of August. Jungle wishes to be clear in saying that we are in no way suspending our landscaping business; our design, installation, and maintenance services will continue uninterrupted, business as usual! Regarding the retail and events space arms of our affairs, our new location has yet to be decided; we will keep you apprised as the situation adjusts. Out of necessity, for the time being, our retail operations will continue on a custom order basis. Please do not hesitate to call or email with inquiries! Jungle Design Retail has had an amazing run in this space since 2007. Our location has allowed us to forge wonderful relationships with the neighborhood, as well as expand our family in Brooklyn, and in all of NYC. Founder and owner, Amanda Mitchell's visionary sensibilities and sensitivity to the need for green growth and the natural beautification of urban spaces have ensured that, through Jungle Design, she has been able to contribute significantly to making, not only this once-upon-a-time parking lot, but so many parts of this city more gracious habitats for residents as well as visitors. Jungle Design is incredibly grateful to have been an active participant in the changing face of Williamsburg for the last decade, and are so happy to know that we were able to bring something completely unique and lovely to what was, at the time of our inception, a stagnant industrial stretch of the Brooklyn waterfront. But, as the saying goes: when one door closes, another opens. We are eager to share updates as they develop. Regarding inventory currently onsite at 61 Kent Ave, we are beginning liquidation. All plant material, planters, furniture, and structures on the space will be up for sale. (And ON sale!) Our larger fabrications that are available include: The 20' x 50' structure that covers our concrete pad and was custom designed by world renowned architectural firm Galia Solomonoff and constructed and installed by DHWWD (Dave Hollier Woodwork and Design); our original little office building turned tool storage space (affectionately referred to as "the blue shed") that was designed and built by Voos (103 N. 3rd St, 11249), the modular structure that currently houses our office, designed and built by Puck and Blossom out of Miami, and our amazing red pergola trellised seating area are all up for grabs. Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing or wish for further details and dimensions regarding these pieces. Naturally, we are saddened to lose this space, but we are very excited to see what the future holds for Jungle, and look forward to seeing you in our new home as soon as we get settled. We love you all, and very much appreciate your continued support as we make progress in our coming changes!
